We’re exciteed to officially announce a new 140-unit mixed-use, multi-family community slated to be built at the previous site of the RiverChase Apartments in East Nashville. All units will be for rent at an affordable price point for residents earning between 30%-80% of the area median income (AMI).

Built from the efforts of Holladay Ventures and Urban League of Middle Tennessee (ULMT), the property will feature an Empowerment Center that the non-profit partner runs. Through this center, ULMT will provide residents and the community with services to educate, employ and empower Nashville’s most precious resource, human capital.

“We are incredibly grateful to Nashville’s city leaders and our community for their support in addressing Nashville’s affordable housing challenges. This project exemplifies our shared mission with ULMT to create quality, affordably priced housing options while offering supportive services that empower the community to thrive,” said Evan Holladay, development partner and founder and CEO of Holladay Ventures. “We couldn’t have made it to this point without help from our amazing community partners such as Pillars Development, PATHE and the McFerrin Park Neighborhood Association.”

The McFerrin Park neighborhood development will include 2,500 square feet of retail space and feature numerous sustainability measures such as solar panels, Enterprise Green Community Certification and more.

Once completed, legacy residents—former residents who relocated following the community’s closure, will have the preferential right to return to the property.

Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell stated, “Above all else, I believe in building a Nashville that works for Nashvillians, and Holladay Ventures and ULMT have created a plan for this project that truly has the community in mind. We know we need more affordable housing, and this development is an integral part of providing that for our community.”

With the full support of Metro Councilmember Sean Parker and input from the community, this project is slated to break ground in January 2024.
